The Oasis Lanz Beach Mate resort is located in Costa Teguise, one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Lanzarote. A perfect place for relaxing, disconnecting and resting, but also for practicing sports, having fun and enjoying a stay you will want to repeat. The complex is 6 km from the island’s capital, Arrecife, and about 14 km from the airport.
Costa Teguise has four main beaches: Las Cucharas is the largest beach and the only one with golden sand; perfect for windsurf enthusiasts, every year it hosts the PWA World Tour freestyle event, Playa de los Charcos (white sand), Playa Bastián (white sand and volcanic stone), and El Jabillo (the smallest and calmest, with a pleasant promenade).
There is a wide range of sports options in the area: windsurfing, snorkelling, fishing, golf, squash, tennis, go-karting… The Costa Teguise golf course is located at the feet of an old volcano and it offers spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean.
As well as an extensive range of gastronomy for you to try the local delicacies, you will find shops, markets and shopping centres. For our more active and curious guests, the area has many entertainment options such as underwater safaris, shows, exhibitions organised by the Cabildo de Lanzarote Art and Tourism Centres Network and the Aquapark Costa Teguise water park. Also, don’t miss out on visiting Timanfaya National Park, the only place in the world where you can witness volcanic activity.
Our holiday homes are on the southwestern coast of Lanzarote, close to one of Europe’s most beautiful beaches, Playa del Papagayo, located within Los Ajaches natural park. As well as this stunning beach, you can find other local beaches by walking only 15 minutes from our facilities. If you want a more urban form of entertainment, the Marina Rubicon or the nearby city of Puerto del Carmen have lots to offer.
As well as the semi-urban Playa Blanca beach, near the town centre, Playa Dorada beach and Playa Flamingo beach, with its fine sand and breakwater guaranteeing calm waters, are also well worth a visit. But there is no doubt that the most spectacular beach is Playa del Papagayo, a series of white-sanded coves with crystal-clear waters among dramatic cliffs.
At Playa Blanca you can sign up to water activities such as kayaking, snorkelling, paddle-surf or scuba diving, and at the Marina Rubicon you will find a bowling alley and tennis and paddle tennis courts. Or perhaps you’d prefer a day of trekking, wandering along distant beaches or climbing to see the views from the top of the Montaña Roja volcano.
Before becoming a tourist centre, Playa Blanca was a fisherman’s village, a past which can still be appreciated in the quality of the seafood offered by the area’s restaurants. The highest concentration is in Marina Rubicon, the sports marina near Playa Blanca, where you can also enjoy going on a shopping spree on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when a little market is set up on the harbour. The nearby Puerto del Carmen also offers countless leisure activities.
